I can look at Holy Cross and Yale winning in the opening round or Middle Tenn State winning against a #2 and either be depressed or feel like we aint so far away.
Yale from the Ivy and Holy Cross from the Patriot. OK so they represent their conference and get waxed in the first round, but NO. I could think, 'how come we can't get quality players that make the tournament and win a round or two. What about Middle Tenn State the runner up in Conference USA that just took down Mich State. How come they make the tourney and our conference gets a one and done Fresno.
I could be depressed cause it seems like everyone is better then our team and our conference.
But I can also say that things change quickly and that we can come along pretty quickly too. Midd Tenn State LOST to South Dakota State this year. Holy Cross was 10-19 going into their conference tourney! They won it and beat their play in opponent. Sure, I know, their reward? Oregon.
Spring fever is a good thing. Go Yale Bulldogs!!! They beat Baylor and now they get Duke. This is a game when you think hey those nice guys from New Haven, I hope they kick those snotty Blue Devil's asses!!!! Anything can happen.
And it can happen to us. Go Cowboys!
