COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – Wyoming senior guard Hunter Maldonado has been named the Mountain West Men’s Basketball Player of the Week, while Boise State forward Tyson Degenhart was tabbed the MW Freshman of the Week.
This marks the third weekly honor for Maldonado and sixth for Degenhart in 2021-22.

- Led Wyoming to a 3-0 record last week with wins over Colorado State (84-78 OT), Boise State (72-65) and Fresno State (61-59).
- Averaged 24 points, 6.7 assists and 5.0 rebounds per game, while connecting on 26-of-47 (.553) attempts from the floor.
- Scored a career-high 35 points against rival Colorado State, while recording seven assists, three rebounds and a steal.
- Recorded 16 points, seven assists and four boards in the victory over Boise State.
- At Fresno State, registered 21 points, eight rebounds and six assists.
TYSON DEGENHART, BOISE STATE

- Helped Boise State to a 1-1 record last week with a win over San José State (76-60) and a loss to Wyoming (72-65).
- Averaged 18 points, 6.5 rebounds and 1.5 assists per game. Also shot 59.1 percent from the field.
- Recorded career-high 23 points and career-best eight boards in the victory over San José State and tallied two assists and a steal.
- Registered 13 points, five rebounds, a steal and an assist against Wyoming.
