Myth #1: UW doesn’t have the resources to compete at the top of the MWC.
Reality: We have the highest paid HC in the MWC, coordinator pay is near the top as well. We also have support facilities that match or exceed the rest of the league in the HAPC and IPF. The War is a middle tier stadium, but that’s more of a fan issue than a player issue.
Myth #2: You can’t recruit to Laramie.
Facts: UW is near the top of the league in players on NFL rosters.
Myth #3: Craig Bohl is the best coach at UW since the late 90’s
Facts: Bohl’s Sagarin Ratings, etc. are almost indistinguishable from Glenn and DC.
Myth #4: Vigen was the problem (I was guilty of that one)
Facts: Vigen wasn’t the problem.
Myth # 5: The program is the strongest position it has been in since the late 90’s.
Fact: Pokes are 3-9 in their last 12 MWC games and have been held scoreless in 7 of 8 quarters in MwC play this year.
Myth # 6: We can’t get anyone better than Bohl to coach our program.
Facts: There are many, many coaches with more successful FBS track records at lower compensation including several within our own league.
