Getting pulled aside on Junior Day by Wyoming Coach Craig Bohl seems to have made an early impression on Aurora (Colo.) athlete Kevin Prosser. The 6-foot-2, 190-pound athlete from Gateway High School said his moment with Bohl let him know how serious the Wyoming football team was about following him this fall.

"(Bohl) took my mom and brother and I back and told us that they were going to be watching me this fall," Prosser said. "I felt like an outcast in a good way because I didn't see him going in the back and talking to their parents. That is a place I would be comfortable."

Prosser, who has not yet received any scholarship offers, said he was impressed with his time on the Wyoming campus during last month's Junior Day.

"I loved it," Prosser said of Wyoming's Junior Day offerings. "I felt like it would be a good school for me. I don't think I would have any distractions, I like the fan base. It is the only big college in Wyoming. They are real strict when it comes to academics and I think I would be real focused at that school on academics."

Academics are a reoccurring theme when Prosser is asked about his college future. He said he is looking for a future in electrical engineering and is going to college to find the best educational program to fulfill that goal.

Prosser said he visited Colorado and Colorado State as well with mixed results.

"CU- Boulder was probably my least favorite," he said. "They are just simple. I don't think they are strict academically. It seemed like a party town, but they did say they would offer athletes academic support to get their work done.

"CSU was a beautiful campus, with nice dorms. I like the facilities they have to take care of the athletes. They are remodeling everything there. They are doing a good job setting up programs that keep your body and academics healthy. I liked things like that."

Prosser said he averaged nearly 12 tackles per game last season for Overland Trail High School before moving into the Gateway High School District. He said he has played a little of everything in high school, and expects that to continue this year. He said he is looking forward to getting time on both sides of the ball.

"I will be most likely starting offense and defense," he said. "I want to see what position I'll be interested playing in college."
