One of the things I most appreciated about this kid was the level of energy he brought to a game that I believe requires high energy, up tempo pace. From the time he tipped in the winning basket in his high school state championship game to the countless poster dunks he threw down on opponents, UW basketball has had few comparisons when it comes to this type of impact players.

It was disappointing to see this kid restricted to three years of deliberate-style-kill-clock basketball. He could have been putting up 20-plus a night since his sophomore year--he always seemed to be a thoroughbred waiting to be unharnessed, and had we allowed his style of basketball this year to compliment Nance Jr. last year, who knows...

No question he'll be a pro. Yeah, the NBA plays a faster game that sometimes looks lackadaisical, but Adams' energy is in short supply, and my guess is that a lot of NBA executives are secretly hoping they're the only ones with a line on him. ESPN fixed that--no chance. He cares, he gives a $hit, he takes it to the hole, and he shares the rock. Selfishly, I hope either the Nuggets or the Sixers draft draft him...
