Linder milked 25 wins out of a team that I dont think 90 percent of the coaches in America could have done. He thought outside of the box. He took a senior forward and made him a post up point guard. And it worked and for a while we looked unstoppable until reality hit in the Pit and the wheels came off. We are 2 or 3 players short of making a run. We need a true point guard, a rim protector and a slasher. With the transfer portal, the Cowboys can get those 3 players on campus and ready to roll for a MWC title by this November.
Focus on what we have. We have a money post player that clogs up the paint and dominates on the glass. He is more or less a freshman. We have good shooters that if they work on the craft can become great shooters. We have a sophomore in Jeremiah Oden that if we created back door and in cuts for him, he can slam it down. We have a freshman point guard that could actually be the player we needed down the stretch. We have a defensive ability that once you add a rim protector will make us a dominant defensive team. And we have Jeff Linder, easily the best coach the program has had since the 80s. This program is back and running. Dont let the loss in the Ncaa tournament ruin the season. We are back. Go Pokes!
