I believe the MWC is the strongest it been in years. I’ve said several times that IMO 5 teams should get bids to the NCAA and NIT.

The way the ‘middle tier’ teams are playing right now it easily could be six or even 7.

I watched UNLV & USU. Both schools are playing great basketball.

As of today I see Wyoming, Boise, CSU and either SDSU or Fresno being in the field of 68. Fresno, oe SDSU plus take your pick USU or UNLV or 3 into the NIT.

IMO Anyone of 7 schools could win the MWC tournament.

The pokes have road games with Fresno, SJSU, UNM, CSU, & UNLV.

Pokes Home games: USU, AF, UNR, SDSU, Fresno

Realistically the Pokes aren’t going to win all 5 Road games. It would be great if the Pokes went 3-2, They could go 1-4, 2-3, 3-2, 4-1 or while unlikely 5-0. The only ‘lock’ is SJSU. The Pokes will be competitive in all 5. It would help if the crowds at T&M and the Pit were sparse but both games will be tough. UNLV has some players (Hamilton can be unconscious). I do think the Pokes have a good chance at the Sheep Pen. The Sheep can be very good but can stink it up to. They were up 20 on SDSU and nearly lost.

The Home schedule is tough. USU is playing some excellent basketball. AF should be a W but the Pokes struggled at Clune. UNR is struggling but SDSU and Fresno certainly aren’t gimmes.

Boise probably has the easiest remaining schedule. 5 home 3 away. Away are AF, UNLV, Sheep. Home: UNLV Sheep, USU, SDSU, & UNR

SDSU has 5 home and 5 away. Away: SJSU, Fresno, Boise, Wyoming, UNR.

Anyway you look at it February is going to be a great month for the MWC.
