How bad was tonight’s loss? Bad enough I re-activated just to see what y’all fellas had to say about tonight’s outcome and the overall temperature of the program.
I’m relieved to see that I’m not alone in feeling like this is a rudderless ship.
UW football is basically the Portland Trailblazers: just good enough to give their fans hope but will never actually have the goods.
And don’t get me started on our “quarterback”.
But I didn’t come here to bellyache (too much) about tonight’s game.
What I came here to ask is: why is UW obsessed with being a football school when basketball — a sport that where we could actually do some damage — is RIGHTTHERE?
What happened? Why is our state laser focused on achieving greatness in football?
Yes, the bottom line answer is money. But this feels emotional. As if our school has something to prove.
And to what end? Say we win the conference title and get ranked. Then what? We get some third tier bowl game in LA?
Baffling.
it’s high time we focus on regaining glory on the hard wood IMO.
