Is it too early to take a look at Montana State?

Here is a write-up about the Montana State spring game won by the Blue squad 21-10.

A few observations, the headline talked about the run game was the leader. I know that Vigen was able to bring in a transfer QB from NC State, by the name of Matt McKay (6-4, 208), but his passing stats in the game, 3-8 for 23 yards were not overly impressive. Tucker Rovig (6-5, 225) who was the starter last year appeared to have a better game in that his passing stats were 5-8-1 for 89 yards. Neither one lit it up in my opinion, which doesn't surprise me knowing Vigen. The strength of the offense appears to be a RB from Washington, a Isaiah Ifanse who ran for 111 yards on 14 carries, and he does appear to be a quality back.

I must say that I don't feel that the MSU defense will be all that great. They have some talent but it is young, and imo not on the same level as UW.

The big thing in MSU's favor is that Vigen knows UW and its personnel so well. I do expect that MSU will have a good game plan to begin with, but after adjustments, Wyoming's defense will put a hurting on MSU's offense. I do feel that Polasek will use his weapons on offense in a much more creative way. I am remembering that it is the first game of the season, and we will be playing a team that has an HC that is very familiar with UW and it's personnel. But after the initial break in period for a first game I expect Wyoming to roll, and while Bohl will not roll up the score on a good friend like Vigen, Wyoming will win in a comfortable fashion.
