Saturday was immensely disappointing, and I'm as tired of Wyoming sucking at football as everyone else on this board, but one thing happened on Saturday that gave me reason to be hopeful. Coach Bohl spoke of specific remedies to make this team better, tougher, and more disciplined. His postgame comments were candid and pointed. We didn't get the usual coach-speak of, "you can put this one on the coaches," or, "we didn't execute the gameplan." He did (kinda) put the loss on the coaches by saying that they didn't effectively teach the players what penalties were and that the staff did a bad job evaluating who should be seeing playing time.
Basically, if we get about 4 weeks into the season and our team looks as pathetic as it did on Saturday, then I'll probably lose a little interest in the 2015 season. For now, I'm pretty damn excited to see what we look like on Saturday.
