I am absolutely impressed with the progress of the players on this team. Not just the frosh but most of the players have improved. Damn injuries have cost us winning 3 or 4 games and everyone seems to say that is part of the game. Well, I don't believe that, I have not seen many great teams and championship teams win week after week with injuries to key players. We have played the most of this season with out one of the best players and he has been gone for the long haul. And, we lost to many key players to win some of the winnable games and I believe we could have won 4 or so games this year. We needed to Wicks to be Wicks all year long and we missed him badly.

We have missed Wicks at 100 % this year and who knows how much that could have cost us in yards and wins. But, injuries or not, I am so proud of this team to have the guts they have shown all season long. I played on such a similar team and I know it was tough to play hard all year for some of the guys that gave up to much, too often, on my team. For me I loved the game so much I loved every practice everyday. I fell in love with golf because the sound golf cleats made walking on pavement and it always gave me a lift in golf at age 45 to hear cleats. LOL

This team is full of talented frosh and frosh with guts and they have made a believer out of me and this program. The coaches have done a great job of keeping the players in the game even when it was late in the 4th quarter and we were behind by 28. Our team should inspire our fans for next season and I just hope we can have some luck with recruits this year. Our luck is over due for sure and I hope all the injured players can return to play this game we all love.Go Cowboys
