and it is not an easy schedule by any means. Our conference road games seem a little easier than our home games. If we want to get bowl eligible with 6 wins we may have to win two or three on the road. I don't know which teams on our schedule graduated a lot of players, so at this point I am just going to assume most teams are going into the new season like us with the usual improvements.
I feel with our new kicking game, our above average backfield, returning line, our tall and athletic receivers, and a few emerging qb's, that we could average over 30 points a game. I feel our defensive backfield will be a huge plus and our linebackers maybe a little above average. With the personell we have on defense I wished we could use our speed and Rocky Long's style of defense. We need to gamble a little bit to make up for our lack of depth and size on the defensive line.
At this point of what we know of the new recruits and what we have coming back ,I am going to say 5 to 6 wins at the low end. I don't know anything about any of the redshirts we are stockpiling ,and if they can come in and help. But if this staff has" the it" in it, and can out coach other programs, no reason not to assume we can reach that goal. Barring injuries of course. It is understood we are still building depth. Just wondering what you others out there think. How much does one put on the coaching staff? I feel Bohl has been patient and getting his ducks in a row. I am hoping the results start showing a year early. That is usually how you tell if your coaching staff has " the it". They get things turned around just a little bit quicker than their peers. And I do understand Bohl had to do a complete rebuild. Any thoughts or predictions?
