There is only one way we can get in the tournament, I am afraid. Win the MWC tournament. We just dont have the pretty wins and we are lowly Wyoming in the eyes of east coast basketball gurus. Be prepared because there are several teams right now that are ahead of us on the bracketology that have no business being ahead of us. CSU and Boise because we swept them. Others are St Johns and UCLA to name two easy ones. And I dont care about the stupid RPI. Our resume is better than those schools! Plus the selection committee should be able to put an asterisk next to the Air Force loss because our best player was out.
That being said, we can only control what we can control. The Pokes have to at the very least win out the rest of the season which is very doable. Plus we have to at least make it the championship in the MWC tournament to even have a prayer at the Big Dance. One consolation is that if we can do go at least 5-0 before losing in the conference tournament we should get a favorable seeding in the NIT. Maybe make a run to Madison Square Garden like Fennis and company???
