First, Burman pulls the trigger on Allen (wish him well) and signs somebody NONE of us see coming.
The fans bellyache about the coach being a retread or a nobody and call for Burman’s head.
New Guy makes every effort to win over the Cowboy faithful, including knocking on doors and kissing babies.
New Guy is a little surprised when fewer than 5k fans show up for his first home game.
Slowly, New Guy gains fan support by how his team plays, even if it doesn’t result in wins right away.
The ‘20-‘21 Pokes finish in 8th place and win a Tournament game.
New Guy raids the JUCO ranks for some bandaid fixes and keeps promising players like Foster and Marble on the team.
The Pokes are picked 9th in the MW preseason polls.
Somehow, they finish non conference play with only one loss. This energizes the fan base.
Soon they are competing for the top half of the league and the AA is back to rocking once again!
In his third year, the New Guy brings a banner to Laramie.
Then rides off into the sunset for bigger and better things.
