1. I'd like to see a mix of Coffman and Smith at quarterback, especially early in the game. If Coffman is healthy I would obviously give him a majority of the snaps as we saw in the Nevada game how this offense can move if Cam manages the game. At the same time I think it would help the running game if there were a few packages put in for Smith. I'd like to see some more read option for him in select situations, especially if the base offense stalls.

2. All steps should be taken to feed Hill early and often and get him going. That includes screens and the wildcat if we struggle running the ball early.

3. I could care less about time of possession but field position is important. Anything inside the 30 should be 4-down territory but beyond that let's protect the hell out of our punter and pin those CSU bastards as deep as we can. Long fields help limit big plays.

4. Bohl and his staff haven't run many blitz schemes this year but I'd love to see that change on Saturday. My guess is that Wingard and Wacha can get home if they're given the opportunity. CSU played three QB's last week against SDSU and they're obviously in flux at the position. I'd like to see our long-haired freshman bear down on those guys and see if they don't squirt a little pee.

5. Dave Christensen was a shit but I have to give him credit on how he built focus on the CSU game every year. I hope some of the older players will impress upon on all of these freshmen just what the Border War is all about. I hope the coaches and few seniors do whatever is necessary, up to and including shots of whiskey, to have this defense ready to eat lightning and crap thunder when they hit the field.

My gut tells me Brian Hill is going to have a very special day on Saturday and that the defense will play with some passion and get the job done. Pokes win 38-28 and the half-dozen CSU fans who make the drive up to Laramie can kiss my white ass. Two times.
