Wyoming completed their 2018 early signing class last month with 20 official signed players and now are working on tying up the final 25 man class.
The UW recruiting staff took a step forward with the commitment of Claremore Sequoyah (Okla.) Miquel Fulgencio He opened eyes this fall rushing for 440 yards and six touchdowns in one game versus Verdigris HS.
Fulgencio brings good speed, while receiving interest from college recruiters, as both a running back and secondary player. His senior year was cut short due to injury and he still managed to rush for over 1,000 yards and 17 touchdowns. He was also a standout on the baseball diamond.
"I visited Wyoming during the football season and I've been sold on the program since," said Fulgencio. "From there, moving forward I now announce my commitment to the University of Wyoming."
6-foot-1 and 200 pound product received offers from Eastern Michigan, Illinois State, Missouri State, Southern Illinois, while recruiting contact from Oklahoma, Oklahoma State, and Tulsa.
“I’m so proud of this young man.” Sequoayah coach Matt Hagebusch said. “Infectious smile, incredible teammate and always the hardest worker in the room. Congrats ‘Franchise,’ you deserve it.”
UW offered him last March and continued to recruit Fulgencio for almost a year. The next step is for Oklahoman is to officially sign his national letter-of-intent on Feb. 7th.
