I’m looking forward to watching this game tonight. It should provide a pretty good measuring stick of where Fresno sits in the conference pecking order.
IMO and according to NET Fresno should beat the Wolf Pack.
The Boise- SDSU game on Sat will be interesting too.
IMO The MWC has separated into 3 tiers.
Per NET:
Top tier,
Pokes (28), The Sheep (32), SDSU (42) & Boise (48)
2nd tier & Fresno (56), USU (71)
3rd tier, UNLV (127), UNR (132), UNM (186), AF (223) & SJSU (273).
IMO on a good night, 2nd tier is capable of beating a top tier team.
On a REAL good night a 3rd tier team could upset a 1st or 2nd tier team having an off night, with the exception of SJSU. (Perhaps that will change if SJSU gets healthy).
I’m excited about this Poke team. I’m also a realist. The Pokes haven’t played a Top tier MWC team yet. That will change Tuesday. The Boise game should be a real truth teller and a great game (IF the Pokes are healthy).
The Pokes certainly can’t look past UNM The Lobos may be 0-5 in the MWC but they have been in every MWC game except UNLV.
GO POKES.
