….the Pokes came out and have actually played tough defense, but the rebounding deficit for the Pokes is embarrassing. The Pokes are woefully undermanned and New Mexico is a way more athletic team than Wyoming. The differences are startling imo. The Pokes packed it into the key at the start of the game on defense and the Lobos have gotten some good looks but have slowly pulled into a 10+ point lead at the half. Acouple of Wyoming players have 3 fouls by halftime, so fouls can really become a problem for this team by the time this game ends.

In Edwards 4th year, the injury excuses has worn very thin. When you do not recruit well overall, injuries will come back to bite you quicker than you can say, "Good night". I have been wondering something lately. I understand concussions in football, but I don't think I have ever heard of a basketball program having more concussions than this program under Edwards has had. I can't explain it, but maybe someone else has an explanation???

It looks like New Mexico found more and more ways of pounding it inside as the first half wore on, and I would expect to see it continue in the second half.
