One of my least favorite bureaucratic bullshit sayings; "expectation management", "trust but verify", "at the end of the day", "it is what it is". Reminds me of Crash Davis telling Nuke on the bus, "Write this down. You have to know your clichés, you have to know them and memorize them..."
So what are we hoping for as a result from todays game? Well, obviously beside a "W"? From my end some balance on both sides of the ball, a run game and TVW gaining some reps and confidence heading into conference play would be a positive step forward. TVW looks the part, and there are time you can see the potential - he can spin it. Granted there are others where his lack of experience level is maddening. A touch pass when appropriate? PRETTY PLEASE? I'll be honest, after seeing Hawaii, Utah State and the Ewes playing salty I'm not QUITE as optimistic as I was going into the season. Today will tell us a lot about this team and its ability to make strides, with the moment of truth coming on the 29th.
