If selling tickets at Dayton Arena is legal and permitted?
I contacted Dayton PD and they referred me to the prosecutor’s office but I haven’t heard back.
I contacted the The Dayton Athletic Office shared that Single Session tickets (lower bowl) were $70 and all session were &140.
It really sticks in my craw that the NCAA allotted the schools playing the games 100 tickets each. This barely covers the players and coaches families. Meanwhile ticket brokers are earning anywhere from 1 to 10 times face value on the ‘resell market’.
Why are these allowed to sell tickets to these events before the teams are announced?
In my view lower bowl of the venue seats should be divided equally amongst the schools playing (8). If unsold seats should ne returned to the NCAA NLT 24 hours prior to tip. The seats above the bowl should be made available early. If demand is high then seats should be sold by lottery with no more than 4 seats sold to a single individual.
Something really really smells like manure at the NCAA.
