Sir, you are the best coach we have ever had. My respect for you knows no bounds. I want to tell you that I have been watching protests over 10 days. My heart hurts that anyone would abuse another based on the color of their skin. I celebrate the numerous black athletes that have attended our beloved university. I know and am disgusted by the fact that some of our athletes face racism and bigotry because of the color of their skin. I want you to know that I am a proud American, UW graduate, and loyal fan. I also want you to know that if any athlete white or black wishes to kneel in protest I will kneel with them. This is not about patriotism. It is about respect for our country and when one of us hurts we should all support that person. Our constitution guarantees the right to peacefully protest to address a grievance in our country so I figure taking a knee in support of our beloved athletes if that is what they choose is a very appropriate thing. If there is no kneeling that is fine and I will respect that as well. Thankfully I am proud of Wyoming. I have a wife of a race that is not white. She, thankfully, never experienced racist comments or actions. Wyoming is good place. The decision of protest or non protest is a University and coaching decision and I will respect those decisions. Just my two cents.
