Glad to give credit when credit is due. Overall this may have been the best game the Pokes have played on both sides of the ball. The offense was varied, the offensive line manhandled USU and Peasley burned them through the air. I give Polasek credit for changing things up because he had USU eating out of his hand. Great to see James light em’ up and Swen do his usual head banging. The defense was great and held an excellent running back in check as well as the young QB who could have spoiled our performance had he been able to escape the pocket. The defense was relentless!

Having a QB that never gets too up or down and throws a nice ball opens everything up. The tight ends were active and we exploited the middle of the field which should delight many of us. At the beginning of the season Bohl was right when he said we’ll have several new faces worth talking about as the season progresses. This team is young and hungry and it looks like Bohl is allowing Polasek to call his game more than he let Vigen. Bohl‘s off season epiphany has contributed to these pups performance. Absolutely no question about it that we have talent on both sides of the ball. Now just beat Hawaii and CSU into submission and set the table for a packed house when Boise State comes to town.
