After a full two weeks off & New Mexico not experiencing any pauses, the Cowgirls couldn't beat NM's upbeat play. After the game Gerald said that guarding the three would be an emphasis, but the Cowgirls did a very poor job with that, especially in the first half. NM had so many totally open shots. Bradshaw hit her high of 29. Fertig was replaced by Ellis in the 2nd half. I had us down for 5 steals from Tommy, Quinn, and Utowska. NM is a scrappy team, and they had a good plan for intercepting inside passes to Fertig. In the first half, there were more no calls by the refs, but I almost wonder if the MW teams need to learn how to play with no calls. If they get to post season, then it's no surprise. Lost 76-85. Hope the Cowgirls can pick up the pace soon.
