Cowboys and Boise State Close Series on Wednesday

LARAMIE, Wyo. (Jan. 12, 2021) The Wyoming Cowboys and Boise State Broncos wrap up their season series on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the Arena-Auditorium. The Broncos took the opener on Monday by a score of 83-60. The contest will be televised on CBS Sports Network.



Fans can and listen to the contest as well as follow stats on GoWyo.com. The contest will be broadcast live on radio over the 26 affiliate stations of the Cowboy Sports Network, as Reece Monaco will have the call with Kevin McKinney on color.



Notes From Series Opener

∙Monday’s game was the 32nd meeting between the schools in a series that dates back to 1979.

∙Wyoming trails in the all-time series 14-18.

∙The Pokes are 9-8 against the Broncos in Laramie.

∙Boise State has won six-straight against the Pokes the longest in the history of the series.

∙Wyoming is 0-3 on Monday’s this season. It is the only three losses of the season for the Brown and Gold.

∙Wyoming was held to six three-pointers. For back-to-back games under 10 triples for the first time this season.

∙Junior Hunter Maldonado added ten points for his ninth game in double-figures this season.

∙Maldonado has now scored in double-figures 48 times in his career.

∙Maldonado came into the game with 917 career points and now has 927 in his career and is 73 short of 1,000.

∙Freshman Marcus Williams added 16 points for his 10th game in double-figures this season.

∙Freshman Xavier DuSell added ten points for the most since scoring 14 against Oregon State, which was his career high.

∙It marked DuSell’s third game in double-figures this season.

Wyoming trails the all-time series against the Broncos 14-18. The Broncos have won six-straight games against the Pokes for the longest winning streak for BSU in the series. Wyoming is 9-8 at home against the Broncos all-time.
