Denver East prospect Ronnie Harrell said he has a plan for his recruitment this summer. The 6-foot-7 swingman said he will work on his weaknesses and get ready for his last summer of basketball and see where he stands in the fall before deciding where he wants to take his official visits.

Right now, for Harrell that means getting into the weight room to add some muscle to his 170-pound frame.

"I am just trying to develop as much as I can this summer," Harrell said. "I want to show everyone what I've got. Right now I feel like I am getting stronger. I am working out in the weight room with my cousin a lot. That is one thing we are focusing on this summer."

Harrell is a 6-foot-7 wing player who averaged 15.4 points and 8.6 rebounds per game a year ago. He also managed 55 steals and 44 assists for the Angels. Those numbers have turned into scholarship offers from Wyoming, Tulsa, Boise State and Kansas State, among others.

Harrell said he's also hearing from Purdue, Vanderbilt, Indiana and DePaul. They are waiting to see Harrell this summer to decide whether to offer a scholarship. Meanwhile, the Wyoming Cowboys have expressed their interest and it seems to be somewhat mutual.

"I really like Wyoming," Harrell said. "I have a great relationship with all of their coaches. They have been talking to me a lot. They came by the house. They are keeping in touch and I really like that."

Harrell said his season with the Chauncey Billups Elite squad will start in June and take him to Indiana, Las Vegas and perhaps Minnesota. In the meantime he is playing summer league basketball with his Denver East High School teammates. The Angels will have their entire starting five coming back from a second place finish in Class 5A a year ago after finishing 26-3.
