I think this one comes down to 3 things - in order or importance:
(1) Ike and fouls. - If Ike can avoid the ticky-tack fouls that he seems to pick up in the first 30 minutes of each game and can play aggressively in the final 10mins the Pokes will be in it at the end. One thing I have noticed about Ike is how his shooting form the foul line has improved over the season - he looks more relaxed and more consistent.
(2) Maldonado plays within himself - Hunter M seems to have taken too many - wish-and-a prayer shots lately. The problem is enough of those shots actually go in to encourage him to continue. I don't see this working with a defense as good as Boise brings to the court. If Maldo has more assists than points Pokes will be in good shape (see next point)
(3) 3 pt Shooting - If the Pokes shoot in the 35-40% range from three - they should be in good shape - will open up the inside for Ike and Maldo.
(4) Poke Defense - Actually is a related to point #1 - If Ike gets into foul trouble then we see more of Hunter Thompson's defense.....which is not really an inside defense at all.
Prediction - Pokes lose a close one in the last 2 mins 67-65.
Sure hope I am wrong,
