IMO this is the best game the Pokes have played since 2016, with the possible exception of the Mizzu game
Today both the O & D clicked.
I thought the play calling and the execution by the O was pretty gosh darn good. I haven’t had a chance to look at the stats but the Pokes could have had more passing yards than rushing yds.I don’t know the last time that happened but it’s been a while. I also thought the Big Eaters did a good job in pass blocking.
The D oh the D. Two fantastic INTs for TDS. Plus a forced fumble. The three TOs turned into 21 points. Great pressure in the first half.
For the first time in I don’t know how long the TEs were more than blockers and decoys. SC actually threw to them too. Neyor is the real deal. SC passing accuracy has improved. His receivers made his stats look good.
I honestly had no idea what the Pokes were going to do on O
Chad Muma will be a finalist for the Bukus award. I thought Logan Wilson was special and he was. Chad Muma is every bit as special as Logan Wilson was. too. Per Dave, Muma had 12 tackles, 10 solo,; 1 pass break up, 1 INT for a TD and 1 TFL. I’d say that is a pretty good day at the office.
Granted Ball State isn’t Alabama. They aren’t Cincinnati either. Far from it.
A head coach is pretty pleased with his teams performance when he says he will have to “look at the tape to find a ‘couple of areas we need to improve”
The Pokes weren’t boring today. They weren’t boing last week either 95 points in 2 games. In the last 3 years it would have taken 4 games for the O to score 95 points.
The Pokes were ‘boring’ against MSU.

it’s never a good idea to compare games but NIU beat Ga Tech hung with Clemson. Penn St beat BSU 44-13.
I believe the Pokes will be one of the teams ‘receiving votes’ in the weekly Top 25 Poll. They have an excellent change of being undefeated in Sep. That hasn’t happened since Joe Tillers last team started 9-0.
One W doesn’t a season make, but this Poke team has improved every week so far this season.
