First, UW Senior and two time All American #3 Bryce Meredith wrestles #2 and also two time All American Kevin Jack (NC State) today at the All Star Classic in Princeton, NJ (Meredith leads the series 2-1).
Outlook- Wyoming’s season will likely be a bit improved from last year in terms of dual record though they will likely finish in a similar place within the NCAAs (Pokes finished 21st last year). UW is currently ranked 19th in the nation as a tourney team and returns three of their best wrestlers in two-time All American Meredith (Sr, 141#, currently ranked #3 in the nation) and NCAA qualifiers Colgan (Sr, 157#, currently ranked #16 in the nation) and Ashworth (Jr, 165#, currently ranked #16 in the nation and Won a Cowboy Open Title). The Cowboys have more depth this year and are wrestling closer to their weights, but the lineup will be fluid in several of the weight classes.

*Senior Chaz Poulson (184#) also won a Cowboy Open Title. Story: http://gowyo.com/news/2017/11/4/wrestling-uw-shines-in-cowboy-open.aspx?path=wrestling
