I like Larry Shyatt as a basketball coach, but I am a little miffed by his comment that if all we want is wins, he will buy us tickets to Kentucky, North Carolina, or elsewhere. Speaking only for myself, wins are not the only thing I expect, but I do want to win and I want to win most of the time. I, as a Wyoming fan, am not willing to settle for mediocrity, which Shyatt's comment seems to suggest we should be happy with. As a longtime and avid fan, who has supported the Pokes through the bad times as well as the good, want, expect, and deserve to have a team that wins. Jim Brandenburg had his ups and downs, but I always believed that we could compete with anyone when he was the Cowboy coach, and I think he believed that as well. Maybe I am reading too much into Shyatt's comment, but it rubbed me the wrong way. This post will probably ignite the wrath of some of our "true believers" but this is something needed to get off my chest. Okay guys, go for it.
