The summer has given Stockton (Calif.) safety Tre Jenkins a little time to narrow his focus. A 6-foot-1, 195-pounder from St. Mary’s High School.
“The summer recruiting season has treated me very well,” Jenkins said. “I’m starting to zone in on certain schools. My favorites are Arizona, Nevada, Wyoming, San Jose State, and Air Force.”
The 6-foot-1, 195-pound safety accounted for 93 tackles, six interceptions, and two forced fumbles last season, to go along with 1,000 all-purpose yards and six scores on offense.
Jenkins said he is searching for a school that will let him excel on the academic side as well as on the field. He also believes he can make an impact on a football program in his first year. Jenkins said he hopes to make his decision soon after his senior football season.
Jenkins holds scholarship offers from Wyoming, UC-Davis, Arizona, Hawaii, Army, Air Force, Navy, San Jose State, and Nevada. He said he is interested in taking official visits to Nevada, Wyoming, and Arizona, while pointing out he is still talking to the Wyoming coaches.
“I’m hearing a lot from Wyoming, still through the mail," said Jenkins. "We mostly talk about their upcoming season and how the season is full of high expectations.”
