I'm wondering what motivation our boys will have on Saturday. Are we going to see the effort of a lifetime to salvage some pride after a rough season? Or will a bye the second to last week of the season have taken the edge off at just the wrong time for both players and coaches, giving that this isn't a rivalry game that you would typically see some additional hype for?
I don't believe the conference office did us a favor with scheduling this way, and frankly I wish there was a rule that said if you have a bye it should be completed by week 8 of the season.
