Keyon Blankenbaker understands Wyoming football, well given fact he has visited Laramie and spent time talking to his cousin and high school buddy both currently playing for the Wyoming Football team.
Now, Blankenbaker has decided to join former high school teammate and current Wyoming linebacker Jahmari Moore, and cousin and current Wyoming Cowboy Mike Green in Laramie. He announced his commitment on Twitter this afternoon and now the 5-foot-10, 170-pound cornerback from Oak Park-River Forest High School in the Chicago area is the 15th known commitment of the Recruiting Class of 2017.
“Really, I thought on it and talked with a few family members and finally decided that Wyoming was the best place for me,” Blankenbaker told GoWyoGo.com. “I just loved it there.”
Blankenbaker visited Wyoming for the December 2nd Mountain West Conference Title game in Laramie and said he enjoyed the family atmosphere, as well as his connection to the Wyoming coaching staff.
The 5-foot-10, 170-pound cornerback from Oak Park-River Forest High School has two interceptions this season and holds scholarship offers from Wyoming, North DakotaState, Buffalo, Central Michigan, and Cincinnati.
