Wyoming head coach Craig Bohl with his Nebraska and Midwestern ties, appears to have his coaching staff mining the Cornhusker state more heavily than previous UW coaches. Bohl has offered three scholarships to the neighboring border and could add three more in the near future.

Grand Island defensive tackle Youhanna Ghaifan is a top 2015 prospect for Bohl's staff and was offered last month. The 6-foot-3 and 248 pound interior lineman is said to be a sleeper prospect with a good amount of raw upside potential.

Ghaifan has already visited Wyoming during their spring practices and continues to be in contact with the UW coaches.

"My strength is my quickness and using that against bigger linemen," said Ghaifan. "The camp coaches say I need to continue to work on my techniques and stance."

Wyoming has extended additional offers to Bellevue's C. J. Johnson, a 6-foot-2 and 181 pound wide receiver and Seward defensive tackle Adam Holtorf, who's listed around 6-foot-4 and 270 pounds.

A trio of players are close to offers in Gothenburg's 6-foot-7 offensive tackle Tanner Borchardt, Beatrice's Jessup Workman and McCook's Colton Sis. Both Workman and Sis are linebacker prospects.

The Cowboys offered IWCC safety Charlie Rogers this week. Rogers began his career at Iowa State before transferring to Western Iowa Community College. He has offers from Illinois, Minnesota, Idaho, Miami (OH), along with the Pokes.

Rogers said playing time will be an important factor in him picking his next FBS school and he should graduate in December to be ready for spring ball next year.

"If I can have a chance at immediate playing time, I can see myself choosing that school," said Rogers. "I will only have two years after this season and want to make the most of the situation and playing time is important."

Rogers has the size at 6-foot-1 and 210 pounds, plus the speed with a 4.45 timed 40 to be an immediate contributor in major college football.
