Hate to be the guy that is always jumping on the negatives in a loss but these players deserve better than they are getting from the Ol Ball Coach. He asks his players to lay it on the line game in, game out yet he leaves his nut sack on the bus. I’m glad he and Burman got a chuckle out of Bohl sprinting to call a timeout. Ah, memories.
Same coaching errors from one game to next; run Swen to death for a whopping 78 yards for 3.7 yards a carry. Clearly BYU made halftime adjustments while our staff was looking where the nearest Crown Burger was for after the game. Bohl’s clock and timeout mismanagement gave BYU 17 points. Cowboys ran the ball 60% of the game but if we are gonna play with the big boys that has to flip to 60% passing. BYU shut down the running game in the second half while their passing game opened the run for them and they took control of the game. But then again we need help at WR.
Yet, despite all of this, I agree with Ian that the Cowboys have edge up on the Mountain Division. But only because the schedule breaks in our favor and perennial strong teams are down. On to San Jose. We will get the win and everyone will feel better.
