If you believe the interweb, Belichick gave UNC a 400 page coaching manifesto outlining his plan to be the HC. Included in that is a requirement that UNC fund a separate GM, HS recruitment, portal scouting, and NIL department separate from the coaching side.
If this goes through this will really widen the gulf between the P4 and G5 programs. There is no way schools that receive minimal TV and conference funds could support that structure.
