To Wyoming Basketball Fans.
What do you think of this idea?
In my view, the best way Wyoming BB fans can show support for winning Wyoming BB is to show up in the AA to support and watch the Cowgirls in person.
The Cowgirls have a good team and a great Coach. They have earned and deserve our support. Let’s give it to them by WATCHING them play in person.
For the remaining Cowgirl home games, what if 7000-8000 (or more) Wyoming Basketball Fans came to the AA (fill the lower bowl at a minimum) to cheer for and support the Cowgirls? (A crowd on the North Side of 10,000 for the CSU game would be awesome).
What if fans continue to be somewhere else than the AA (or make the AA even more empty than it has been this year) for the Cowboy Games?
This would help and allow Wyoming Basketball Fans to bring home the point and cement the fact that the current performance and condition of the MBB Program is UNACCEPTABLE. It would also recognize, and reward the WBB program for their hard work and good on court performance.
The exception for MBB would be the CSU game.
For the Border War, What if Cowboy fans show up in huge numbers, bring and wear BROWN paper sacks over their heads and cheer for the Cowboys?
Maybe the powers that be would take notice (if they haven’t already) and make some changes in the MBB Program next year that will improve the on court product.
This ‘proactive fan approach’ does two things.
First it shows that Poke Fans will support and come to the AA to WATCH good competive basketball, and won’t tolerate a substandard product that detracts from the rich winning tradition of Cowboy Basketball.
Second it brings needed revenue into the Poke athletic program.
Thoughts?
GO POKES.
