To shoot free throws killed us. It could have been a deal breaker in 2nd half. Also the shoves and pushes SDSU got away with to get all those offensive boards. Adams averaged over 13 trips to the charity stripe leading up to this game. And as many times as he was doubled and tripled and no fouls called? That is part of his game.
The announcers brought it up, and it was a very valid point. Adams has to get to the line. It seems we start every year with SDSU as our 1st game. I watched Dalton in the game at Billings against MSU and said I thought he was a suprise. That he has some good hops on him. If anyone ever watches JC games , they would know how hard they play, how fast paced the game is , and how much those kids give when in the game. Sometimes I miss seeing that at Wyoming's level. The defense at the JC level is something to be desired though. This UW team has some things to fix, but not unfixable like things were when Nance went down. We just need more of a team effort. If we could do that then Adams could play without forcing his game. It is almost like I can feel how much energy and effort he puts in during a game. I have a lot of admiration for the guy. I hope he can keep up with this pace without getting any major injuries. He reminds me of an Allen Iverson type of player. Leaving it all out on the court. We need more guys on the team to feed off of that.
