...at least we won. But hey, far fewer people in the stands and virtually no atmosphere in the stadium. How did Nevada stall our running game? Valladay is real solid; good tandem with he and Smith. If they stay healthy, we win. X is our offense right now...
Levi needs some work, but you can see some good signs. May need to work on his vertical though in order to catch some of those snaps in the shotgun. Makes it tough to deal with a pass rush when you burn a second or two catching the snap
I think for the first time ever in Poke history, every fan at the game had a better seat than the cheerleaders, who got rat-holed back in a corner and were irrelevant.
The game experience during the Covid pandemic/hysteria...had to see it for myself...neither great nor terrible. Pretty empty really. Probably the best they can do. Yeah there was the football--that was good stuff; satisfying semi blowout, Valladay, I like it where one guy has a big game on D (Hicks) ,and a good growth game for the Pokes in my view......
The average fan seems to lack energy for sports in general these days. TV ratings suck, and there's just a malaise about all of it. We agreed to give going to the games a shot, but concluded afterward there's really no point to be there. I may go again, may not. Hope UW wants to have a traditional fan experience again one day. I'd even take a season of Vic Koenning ball if last night's experience at the war is the future. I understand some posters who say it was all just fine. I think they're in the minority though. Part of the fan experience for me is seeing others; the fan comradery. You never waited a second to use the restroom though, and thankfully, UW permitted us fans to have the band.
Something sad about seeing concession stands, all glassed up and protected like a 24-hour liquor store.... Equally sad to read posters here pointing out or getting on the students because the kids got too close to each other, or got to close to him, and how these kids are going to threaten attendance at future games that we can't even sell 7000 tickets to.
We won the friggin' game last night, how about that? Unless you were sitting in the midst of the student section--and why would you--why should you care?
Health tip: Stay away from the lepers if they offend you. They're already on one side of the stadium...
I got it: Maybe UW should throttle back on the # of tickets they SELL to UW students. Teach them good, y'know? Something needs to be done to rein in this immaturity, this lack of responsibility in these dark, gloomy days. Maybe stop putting them on the jumbotron unless they're in groups of six, six feet apart with masks and spray shields on. Nothing more irritating than watching a low-risk, 20-year old student having fun while you're sitting there with a mask on. We should also bring this to the attention of the AD, so he can closely monitor them at the Air Force game. Let's definitely bring the knuckle to our future donor base so that the crochety old f*cks can keep these filthy, student disease vectors from breathing in our direction.
