I've been a Cowboy fan since as early as I can remember. WAC tournaments, NCAA's, Wyoming vs. Utep and the largest crowd......being in college and the last NCAA team since this previous one. I loved the Pokes and still do. Always will.
It kills me that my kids don't get excited about Wyoming sports.....at all. That's a damn shame. The kids at the University right now know little to nothing positive about Wyoming football or basketball. That's ridiculous. Why is the student section so lame? Pretty easy question to answer. They'd rather watch Oregon or Alabama or Florida. They win. They're good.
I get the positive outlook most people on this board have. I've had it forever. I'll always think next year will be better. I thought this year would be too.
I get it. We're young. Bohl recruited kids that beat FBS schools at his last gig. He can recruit the kids to get it done, at least he proved it elsewhere that he could.
What pisses me off is the fact that Po Dunk College of the Whatever's can get things rolling and win games in what seems like no time. What gives here? We have to have talent enough, albeit freshen and redshirt freshmen, to beat a mid level FCS team. I get so sick of the all the sugur coat it bullsh!t I read from everyone on this board. We all complain about the crowds at the war. Well, show up and win some damn games for once in 20 years. 20 YEARS! I'll be damned if I'm going to drop $600 a weekend to watch the crap product we field year after year.
If we show up and start showing some sort of fire and competitiveness I'll be there. I'll eat crow, bult that doesn't look good. Trust me, I'll enjoy that crow too.
