OT - Sheridan County Folks - Help

Hey fellow Poke fans, I could use some input. I potentially have a career opportunity that could take me to Sheridan. I am from SE Wyoming and my extended family is basically all along the I-80 corridor. So as much as I have lived in Wyoming, I really have had limited exposure to the northern part of the state in my life. Anyone who has lived in Sheridan or is from there, any input would be appreciated on living there. Pros/cons/things to do/be aware of.

Thanks in advance.

Wolfpack showed Utah St. Whose, the Boss.

Actually, a dang good game to watch; very, very tight until the last 5 minutes. Make no mistake about it; Nevada is a Big Dance Tournament entry. They indeed took command and did show Utah St. Who the boss is. 85 to 70. The bottom line is I tremble to watch the Pokes play the Wolfskis.

P.S. Michigan State a perennial powerhouse was beaten by the Fightin Illinois 75/66. Both teams will be in the tournament, but be careful in the brackets, Michigan St. is well coached, and very strong.

Is Ike's absence really the problem?

I am not convinced that we are a good team even with Ike. Sure we could have won against some of the lesser teams and probably even beat Fresno. But with Ike, I dont think this team comes any where near SDSU or even Utah State. Pokes find ways to lose by making stupid turnovers and couldnt hit a free throw if our life depended on it. Would Ike really solve that? We are a disaster on the line. An absolute disaster. Utah State made us look foolish defensively BUT when he had a chance to get back in the game, the Pokes took horrible shots. Something is wrong with this team and it goes much deeper than injuries. I am at a loss.

What happened to being able to pass, dribble, and shoot?

Qualifier-I'm a huge fan of Jeff Linder and I still believe he is the right man for the job.

But when Linder took the job one of the first things he said was that all his players would be able to pass, dribble, and shoot. It appears to me Linder has temporarily lost sight of that philosophy. I would list the players that fail in all these categories but truthfully everyone that has played this season other than Reynolds has taken their turn being a huge liability in these 3 areas. Specifically the three Pac-12 transfers don't seem to fit the mold of what Linder said he would recruit. Agbonkpolo can't seem to pass, dribble, or shoot. Anderson has probably been the best of the three transfers and does some nice things but he is one of the worst shooters I have ever seen for a PG. I haven't given up on Kyman quite yet, but he has probably been a liability in all three areas so far. I wonder if Linder and his staff fell in love with the recruiting stars next to the players names and not the actual player. I don't necessarily blame Linder for that because I can see how the idea of adding what were once three high level recruits could be tantalizing. I just hope he doesn't repeat this mistake and gets back to his roots of recruiting his type of guys. Guys that can pass, dribble, and shoot.

Up Next
The Cowboys hit the road and have a quick turnaround. Wyoming travels to Air Force for a Tuesday night game at 7 p.m. inside Clune Arena.

I am enjoying many BB games.

So many incredibly talented teams. I just watched Creighton go down to Xavier by 3 points; they had such a great chance to win. Creighton has lost eight games by an average of 5.625 pts playing good teams.
They are an excellent team, not to be ignored, as they could go two rounds in the Big Tourney if they get in. I like Houston, UCONN, KU, UCLA, Providence, and Xavier. Of course, I love the Pokes, alas. Boise State is the next stop. Oh, not sure Gonzaga is gonna go far in the Fray, Timme can only carry the team so far.

Becot from North Carolina, Ankle Injury, not sure how bad.
