Hey Josh, what you think?……

Stroud's unique donation
Current Texans and former Ohio State quarterback C.J. Stroud made a large donation Monday to The Foundation, the NIL collective at OSU, becoming one of the first pro athletes to give in such a targeted way. It’s a full-circle moment for Stroud, who benefited from The Foundation (founded by former Buckeye QB Cardale Jones) while in college. Donations like Stroud’s represent a new path forward for NIL collectives in college sports. Expect more of these contributions elsewhere in the near future.

Four Cowboys Ranked in First Coaches’ Ranking of the Season

LARAMIE, Wyo. (1/22/24) –
The NCAA announced the first wrestling coaches’ ranking of the season Monday. The University of Wyoming had four student-athletes appear in the top 33 of their respective weight class.

Jore Volk (125) led the way, checking in at No. 4. He boasts a team-best 18-4 record, which includes a 7-4 mark against ranked foes.

Gabe Willochell (149) was the next-highest Pokes, being ranked No. 14. He possesses a 14-6 record and a team-high five pins.

Joey Novak (197) was ranked No. 19. He owns a 16-10 record and that includes a 6-9 record against ranked foes.

Cole Brooks (141) was the final Cowboy to appear in the poll. He’s No. 31 with an 8-4 record, as he’s missed some time this season with an injury.

The coaches’ ranking is one of many criteria that is used by the NCAA Division I Wrestling Committee during the NCAA Tournament at-large selection and seeding process. The other areas that are weighed include head-to-head competition, quality wins, the RPI, conference tournament placement, results versus common opponents and win percentage.

WY +6.5 against Nevada

Hey now, this is a tough spot. I have made a LOT of money the past couple weeks fading Wyoming as they went 0-5 ATS in their last five, and they’ve only beat the spread twice all year. I made a ‘Fade Linder’ commitment and it’s paid off.

But getting 6.5 points? At home? Against Nevada, who has never played well in Laramie?

Damn.

O/U is 140.5. I am on the under as I don’t feel confident Wyoming could score in a Phuket bang-bang bar.

But a 6.5 point home dog?

Can’t do it. I’m taking Nevada -4 for the 1H and will tackle the game line live.
