NIL at New Mexico

Article talking about how it works for them.

This from Pitino:

“When I first started in this profession, it was about facilities, and then it was about nutrition, can we build all this up, housing — it kind of changes every couple of years,” Pitino said. “The biggest thing about NIL is if you don’t have it, you have no chance. Is it the end all, be all? No, but if you don’t catch up and compete, it’s going to be very, very difficult for you. It’s like everything in this profession, it’s always going to be an arms race. And everybody is, I think, understanding it a little bit better now than when it first started.”

Coach Saw

All this BB talk without the Cowboys being involved is boring. Can we talk about football. Read Cody’s article about how well liked Coach is by the players and how he has opened up 2 Spring practices to the public. Breath of fresh air. I think the in house hire was good. If Coach can keep the Cowboy Tough attitude and add a modern offense to the playbook we are going to be good. I would think in today’s world having a coach the players not only respect but like personally is very important. We didn’t lose much in the Port Hole after Saw was named coach. Can’t wait for that first game. I think we are going to be good. This is the year of a MWC Championship.
