Pokes in the Pros: Week 4
LARAMIE, Wyoming (10/1/24) – The Cincinnati Bengals earned a much-needed 34-24 victory at Carolina in Week 4 of the National Football League season, which moved them to 1-3.
Logan Wilson, who hasn’t been the issue during the Bengals’ slow start, performed very strong, yet again.
The former University of Wyoming football player, and Casper native, boasted a team-high 10 tackles and one quarterback hit. He now has 43 tackles, one tackle for loss, one forced fumble and one quarterback hit this season. Wilson’s number of tackles ranks him in a tie for fifth in the league.
Cincinnati hosts the Ravens in Week 5.
Below is a list of the other former Wyoming student-athletes and how they did in Week 4.
Josh Allen, Buffalo Bills
Allen had his weakest game of the young season on Sunday night, as the Bills fell at Baltimore, 35-10. He was 16-for-29 for 180 yards, while adding 21 yards on five carries.
For the season, Allen is 70-for-101 for 814 yards and seven touchdowns. He’s chipped in 106 yards on 22 carries with a pair of scores for the 3-1 Bills.
Buffalo travels to Houston in Week 5.
Carl Granderson, New Orleans Saints
Granderson logged an average day in the Saints’ 26-24 loss at Atlanta. He made two tackles.
For the season, Granderson owns 15 tackles, three sacks, one forced fumble and four quarterback hits for 2-2 New Orleans.
The Saints travel to Kansas City for Week 5’s Monday Night Football.
Chad Muma, Jacksonville Jaguars
Muma didn’t record a stat in the Jaguars’ 24-20 loss at Houston on Sunday.
For the season, Muma owns 10 tackles for 0-4 Jacksonville.
The Jaguars host Indianapolis in Week 5.
Frank Crum, Denver Broncos
Crum was active for the second week in a row in Denver’s 10-9 victory at the New York Jets. The 2-2 Broncos host Las Vegas in Week 5.
Andrew Wingard, Jacksonville Jaguars
Wingard did not play due to an injury in Jacksonville’s 24-20 loss at Houston on Sunday. He has yet to play this season.
Tashaun Gipson, Jacksonville Jaguars
Gipson did not play due to a suspension in Jacksonville’s 24-20 loss at Houston on Sunday. He has yet to play this season.
Treyton Welch, New Orleans Saints
Welch is currently participating on the Saints’ practice squad. He has yet to be elevated this season.
Marcus Epps, Las Vegas Raiders
Epps’ season came to an end in Week 3. He tore his ACL after a 10-tackle effort. Epps finished the season with 19 tackles and one tackle for loss.
