“Growing up, everybody told me, ‘You’re from Big Horn, such a small school... playing D1 football is a lot harder than you think.’ There were times I didn’t even know if it was a possibility,” Pelissier admitted.

LARAMIE, Wyo. (Oct. 3, 2024) – The Mountain West announced on Thursday the 2024-25 Men’s Basketball Conference schedule and national television lineup on CBS Sports and FOX Sports. The Pokes will play five games on the networks this season. A complete schedule including game times for Cowboy basketball will be released in the near future.

The Cowboys will play a pair of home games on CBS Sports Network this season. UW will host New Mexico on January 7 at 8 p.m. UW will also welcome San Diego State in a contest on the network on March 1, as that contest is slated for a 6 p.m. start.



Wyoming will play a pair of games on the road on CBS Sports network with a contest at UNLV set for a 9 p.m. start on January 21. UW will face San Diego State on the road on the network on February 1 in a time to be determined.



The Pokes had one shift in date in the schedule with the trip to New Mexico moved to Wednesday February 12 in a game that will start at 8 p.m. on FS1. All games on FS1 will also be available on the FOX Sports App and FOXSports.com.



Wyoming also announced an addition to the non-conference schedule. The Pokes will make a trip to the University of South Dakota on December 10 for a game set for a 6 pm. start.



In 2024-25, the MW will utilize a 20-game format where each institution will play each MW institution at home and on the road. The change to a 20-game schedule will prompt an earlier start to the conference season, pushing intra-league dates earlier in December.



Conference play is set to begin Wednesday, Dec. 4, with three contests and concludes on Saturday, March 8. League play will determine the seeding for the 2025 MW Men’s Basketball Championship.



CBS Sports will once again televise the Mountain West Men’s Basketball Championship. The 2025 tournament will take place March 12-15 at the Thomas & Mack Center in Las Vegas. CBS Sports Network will televise the quarterfinals and semifinals, while the CBS Television Network and Paramount+ will present the championship game on Saturday, March 15.
