Aurora Smoky Hill (Colo.) shooting guard Kenny Foster is high on Wyoming basketball's 2019 recruiting list and plans his official visit to Laramie on Sept. 1st, the same time as the UW vs Washington State football game.

Foster checked out Wyoming unofficially with a group of his AAU Colorado Hawksteammates in late June. He's visited the high plains on multiple occasions since the UW coaching staff started recruiting him back in 2016. The Cowboys recruited his brother Chase five years ago before he committed to San Francisco.

Foster at 6-foot-5, 190 pounds, possesses strong handles, shooting range and difficult to guard with the ability to get to the free throw line. He isn't just a long ball threat with the capability to find seams in the defense and score off the dribble.

"He plays with great confidence, which reflects in his great shooting talents from three-point range," said PrepHoops.com Matt Reynolds. "He expects every shot to go in and the more you watch him play you end up expecting the majority to fall.

"Foster has a swagger to him on the court. Foster is known for his jumper. It should also be noted that he can be successful scoring the ball when people run him off the three-point line. Foster used a crafty dribble to find holes in the defense on his drives."

During the Las Vegas Fab 48 tournament in July, Foster went off in the second half with 17 points and finished with 22 points for the game. During his junior season he registered 17.0 PPG, 3.7 APG, 4.8 RPG, 2.3 steals per game. His sophomore year he averaged 17.1 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.3 assists, 1.6 steals.

Foster has 9 known scholarship offers from Wyoming, Pepperdine, Air Force, Denver, Pacific, Cal-Riverside, Milwaukee, Cleveland State, and UC-Davis. He has narrowed his list down to Wyoming and Pepperdine.
